First date of publication: 24 June 2017                                                       United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal works with the (DCS people and Government of Nepal, and other development partners to pursue equitable and sustainable human development goals through eradication of  poverty, increase in livelihood opportunities, improvement in community resilience against conflict, disasters and impact of climate change, while laying down strong foundations for a society based on rule of law with an inclusive and participatory democracy.

The UNDP Nepal is seeking applications from qualified and result oriented Nepalese citizens for following assignment:

Job title: Data Analyst for Inter Agency Common Feedback Project. UNRCO Contract type and level: Individual Contractor             Reference No.: UNDP.PN/24/2017

Project/cluster: Inter Agency Common Feedback Project. UNRCO No. of Position: One Duty Station: Kathmandu. Nepal with some travel to the field

Key responsibilities: Reporting to the CFP Information Management and Communications Officer, the incumbent will support the maintenance of a digital data analysis mechanism for collecting, filtering and aggregating community feedback in which the response leadership and staff can analyze and act upon.

Required qualification and experience: University Degree in Archival, Information Science. Information Systems or related field. A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, managing information on IT including support to management of hardware and software platforms, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications, and database development. Previous experience working with a UN agency, a media development organization or a humanitarian NGO will be an asset. Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali.

Job title: National Consultant: Human Rights Expert Reference No.: UNDP/PN/26/2017 Contract type and level: Individual Contractor                   No. of Position: One

Project/Cluster: National  human Rights Commission’s Strategy Plan Support Project (NIIRC’s SPSP) Duty Station: Kathmandu

Key responsibilities: The Human Rights Expert will be responsible for reviewing documents, analyzing the progress, issues and challenges, draft selected chapters of the evaluation report as assigned by the Team Leader, and assist the International Team Leader to ensure overall quality and timely submission of the evaluation report, to evaluate the performance of the National Human Rights Commission’s Strategic Plan Support Project (SPSP) and to strengthen the operational and programmatic capacity of the NHRC to best address the identified pertinent challenges during the remaining phase of the Project and to propose some of the areas for the new project.

Required qualification and experience: The candidates should have Master’s Degree preferably in Human Rights, Law and’or other related field. At least 7 years of experience in access to justice, human rights and rule of law. Experience in conducting evaluations and thorough understanding of gender and social inclusion issues in Nepal assets.

  2. Search for jobs as per your target, prepare well i.e make yourself sharp. There are different projects working on education sectors like “room to read”, “teach for Nepal” etc. approach them personally start from and you will see other doors open as well. Our best of luck.
