VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Action Aid is a global justice federation working to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication. Action Aid International Nepal (AA Nepal) is a member of the Federation, working for human rights, anti-poverty and gender equality. It is a non-governmental national social justice organization established in 1982 and working locally in different provinces of Nepal. It is also a part of both national and global social justice movement and other civil society networks, alliances and coalitions.
AA Nepal is seeking competent, committed and result-oriented candidates for the two positions mentioned below:
- Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Humanitarian Response Coordinator
- Key Responsibilities:
S/he is responsible to conceptualize, plan and manage initiation to promote resilience against disaster; and ensure humanitarian response in case of any emergency to contribute to the overall organizational mission to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication in line with AA Nepal’s Strategy 2023.
Key Competencies Required:
- A Master’s degree in Social Science/Development Studies or any other relevant field from a recognized University
- At least 5-6 years of experience in a related field in similar role and similar organisation, and experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
