The Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal (GWT-N) invites application from suitably qualified applicants for the post of 3  Assistant Pharmacists for our Medical Centres (each for Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dharan). Please specify the city you prefer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Applicants must be qualified and licensed as an Assistant Pharmacist (Diploma in Pharmacy) in Nepal, have good commands of both spoken and written English, must be computer competent and a Nepali citizen with a minimum of two years of work experience.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate should have experience in the practice of hospital or community assistant pharmacist, with excellent patient counselling skills, have experience of working with international standard of pharmacy practices and have awareness of the challenges in achieving these in Nepal. You should be able to identify and implement the best practices and methods of storage and distribution of medicines. You must be familiar with Nepal DDA policies and guidelines on Good Pharmacy Governance and Medication Management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensively overseeing to;

  • Inventory Management: Support the Pharmacist in overall control of AWC pharmacy (health stores including pharmaceuticals, consumables and medical stores, first aid kits and medical equipment).
  • Dispensing and patient counselling.
  • Promoting safe, effective and appropriate use of medications.
  • Performing other tasks as might be required within the scope of the services.

REMUNERATION

We offer a competitive salary (NRs.33,463/month) i.e. EG01_03 with Provident Fund and Gratuity. One month pay as Festival Bonus and medical cover as per GWT(N) Staff Regulations. The job is offered for 1 year initially and may be extended further on need and performance.
