FULL DESCRIPTION:
Nepal Engineering College (nec) invites applications for the following teaching positions in Master programs:
Position-Teaching faculties (Position will be offered based on his/her qualification and experience).
M.Sc./M.E in Civil Engineering or any engineering discipline from a reputed university with a minimum of 3-year of teaching/working experience in Construction Management and /or Transportation Engineering.
• PhD in Civil Engineering or any engineering discipline from a reputed university with a minimum of 1-year of teaching/working experience in Construction Management and /or Transportation Engineering.
• M.A in Economics/ M.B.A from a reputed university with a minimum 3-year of teaching/working experience in related field. Ph.D. will be an added advantage.
(Note: Specific knowledge on GIS and RS will be an added advantage for the positions)
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Teaching responsibility of the courses relevant to Construction Management and/ or Transportation Engineering or any other program, totaling minimum of 9 hours of teaching responsibility per week for the postgraduate level students at nec-Center for Postgraduate Studies.
ii. Planning, designing and execution of students’ research program and supporting the students in identification of appropriate research site, framing of research questions, research design and development of research proposal in close consultation with concerned faculty members.
iii. Monitoring and evaluation of progress in the students’ research to ensure quality control and completion within the stipulated time frame.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Candidates should be committed to teaching excellence in a postgraduate program and to building a strong research record;
• Potential for effective teaching or teaching experience using a variety of methodologies;
• Ability and/or interest in teaching a broad range of courses to diverse group of students.
