Position: House Manager/Cook
Gross Salary: Approximately Rs.550,000 per year (including allowances and bonuses)

Individuals who are interested to work as a House Manager/Cook for a high ranking foreign diplomat at the U.S. Mission, please provide your application.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a House Manager at an official residence of a high ranking foreign diplomat. The incumbent supervises a team of house attendants including bearers and a laundry person on a daily basis, coordinating their work, and arranging for any maintenance or repair needs. The incumbent is responsible for setting meals, shopping for, and cooking at the residence for the diplomat’s family as well as for formal dinners and large cocktail receptions. The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating staff and supply needs for events, set-up, and clean-up for events; organizing and cleaning the kitchen, and maintaining high standards of food cleanliness.
Qualifications Required:
1. Completion of Secondary School is required.
2. A minimum of two years of experience as a cook at a residence of an expatriate or at a reputed hotel is required.
3. Good working knowledge in speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluency in speaking/rcading’writing Nepali is required.
4. Good communication and customer service skills arc required. Good knowledge of recipes for preparing varieties of food is required. Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
5. Basic computer skills and the ability to research internet resources are required.
