The Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDEP IV), being implemented by the Ministry of Industry, contributes to the poverty reduction and employment generation efforts of the Government of Nepal (GoN) through micro-entrepreneurship development. It aims to support GoN to implement Micro Enterprise Development for Poverty Alleviation (MEDPA) by building the capacities of government at central and local levels to develop and create structures, policies and enabling environment to implement micro enterprise development and strengthening access to markets, finance and business development services.

MEDEP is seeking qualified, talented and result oriented candidates for following positions:

Post Title:                Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (MES) NPPP-ITl

No. of position: One

Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent visits to MEDEP and MEDPA districts Duration:     Annual contract with possibility of extension

Job responsibilities:

1. Prepare the M&E and result measurement framework and indicators in relation to objectives, outcomes, outputs and activities as defined in Results and Resource Framework and the log-frame.

2. Work closely with the MEDPA M&E Specialist assisting on to producc central as well as district level trimester and annual progress reports against the strategies of MEDPA documents.

3. Ensure M&E activities are planned and implemented in a gender sensitive and inclusive manner and that all implementing partners are sensitized and trained in gender and social inclusion.                •

Qualifications and experience required:

Completion of Masters’ Degree in Social Science, Management or relevant field. 7 years of work experience in developing monitoring and evaluation system (preferably in the field of enterprise and/or poverty reduction programme), result measurement 1 system; experience in communicating and producing quality report and Results Based Management tools and processes.

Post Title:                Management Information System Specialist (MISS) NPPP-II

No. of position: One

Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent visits to MEDEP and MEDPA districts Duration:     Annual contract with possibility of extension

Job responsibilities:

1. Technically support MEDPA in the design, population, test and verification of databases and websites which will give the possibility to enter and update information at different levels.

2. Provide technical guidance and capacity building to APSO team, DCSIO teams, BDSPOs and DMEGAs in collecting and compiling data from the field, analysing and producing reports.

  1. Develop MIS Database User Manual for MEDPA and disseminate.

Qualifications and experience required: Completion of Masters’ Degree in Information Technology, Management Information System or relevant field. 5 years of work experience in Management Information Systems with exposure in development field; experience in databases, and webpage development/operations.
