Position:Livelihoods Officer

Major Responsibilities: In line with WWF Nepal’s Strategic Plan 2017- 2021, Livelihoods Strategy, and WWF Nepal’s working Landscape strategies, the Livelihoods Officer will be responsible for effective mainstreaming of sustainable livelihoods approach/agenda into conservation and development of relevant program and processes. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Programs, the individual will be responsible for planning, monitoring, developing and, evaluating the sustainable livelihoods agenda to document the lessons learnt and provide fund raising support.

Qualifications: A Master’s Degree preferably in Sociology/Anthropology, Sustainable Rural Development. Economics or relevant Social Science field with at least 3 years of field experience in implementing and managing sustainable livelihood work in Nepal is required. S/he must be experienced in capacity building, strategic planning, communicating best practices and lessons learned and possess good monitoring and evaluation skills. Prior experience of working with field- based, ethnic and cultural groups of mountains and the Terai region of the country is desirable.
