FULL DESCRIPTION:
Position: Programme Officer – 1 (Duty Station: In Manthali, Ramechhap; or in Birendranagar, Surkhet; or in any of the municipalities in State 1. Duty station may also change in future).
Job Purpose: Under the general guidance of the Senior Sector Manager, and the sector teams based in Kathmandu, this position will be responsible for providing assistance to the sector portfolio team in NAMDP in the analysis of systemic constraints and opportunities in selected sub-sectors/ cross-sectors, cross-cutting themes, district-clusters, and agriculture market systems; as well as giving input to the design, implementation and monitoring of interventions in selected sub-sectors/cross-sectors and/or cross-cutting themes.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field with at least 3 years work experience in the development cooperation field with NGO/INGOs in agriculture value chain development/market development. The applicant must have a valid two-wheeler driver’s license. ‘
