FULL DESCRIPTION:

Kathmandu World School seeks applications for the position of ‘Teacher Interns‘, who share our passion for world-class education and progressive pedagogy, to assist teachers with teaching our students and their enrichment activities.

Teacher Interns will work under the guidance and supervision of trained educators and mentors. It’s a great opportunity to gain classroom experience, and can sometimes lead to a full-fledged teaching job the following year. Teacher Interns will be provided with a competitive stipend, transportation facility and other benefits.

Qualification, Skills and Aptitude

• Must currently be enrolled in the final year or have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline,
• Prior experience in a school is desirable but not a requirement,
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite,
• Interest in learning from and assisting experienced educators,

– Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English and Nepali,

• Comfortable with public speaking to small or large groups.

Core Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of the Teacher Intern include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist teachers in developing strategies for efficient instruction by learning from an experienced educator, and developing your abilities in creating lesson plans for students,
• Assist with the facilitation of classroom discussions, correcting/encouraging students, and ensuring that students receive innovative learning experiences,
• Participate in School Wide Professional Development initiatives.
