The British School

The British School Kathmandu (TBS) is looking to recruit dynamic, creative and caring teachers, committed to the pursuit of excellence, for our exciting and unique school. TBS has ten vacancies for the 2019-2020 academic year. TBS is a culturally diverse International school which represents students from 40 different countries around the world.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from International University (BA Hons preferred). All applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) obtained from England or equivalent. All applicants must have practiced teaching and learning for minimum of 2 years and British Curriculum background is sought for the below mentioned positions.

Primary Teachers must be competent in teaching British Curriculum and maintain its standard and provide with quality teaching and learning experience

English teacher, Science teacher, Modem Foreign Languages teacher, Mathematics teacher and Economics teacher must have teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE/AS/A Level curriculum

The Additional Learning Support Coordinator must have recognised SEND/inclusion qualification e.g. SENCO.

The Head of Primary School must have Middle/Senior Leadership training and/or a postgraduate degree in Education and must have 2 years above experience on leading and managing other staff including line/performance managing colleagues.
