Vacancy Announcement

FHI 360, an international NGO, is currently recruiting highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the Human Rights Strengthening program in Nepal, an additional component under Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Project (CS:MAP) funded by USAID/Nepal for the positions of Human Rights Advisor and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. This program aims to strengthen human rights advocacy at national and local level, and support the local governments in developing a human rights-based approach to development.

1.Human Rights Advisor – based in Kathmandu

Human Rights Advisor (HRA) is responsible to lead on designing and implementing the Human Rights Strengthening component of the project. The HRA will build a strong collaboration with project implementing partners, national human rights institutions and governments at federal, provincial and local level.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in law, human rights or in a relevant field with specific understanding of human rights principles and practice in Nepal, and 8 years of experiences in the area of human rights work in a national and/or international organization.

2.Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist – based in Kathmandu

The M&E Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Human Rights Strengthening component of the Project by carrying out activities on monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting, data quality assessment (DQAs), development of tools, for gathering required information from project implementing partners.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s level degree with minimum 2 years related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 5 years of related experience in development programming, especially, planning, monitoring and evaluation. Experience with research, GIS and M&E systems, including data collection and analysis.
