Nepal Renewable Energy Programme (NREP) is a four- and half-year programme funded by DFTD and implemented by DAI Europe and Winrock International in collaboration with Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC). The programme has created a Renewable Energy Challenge Fund (RECF) to attract Private Sector to invest in Renewable Energy in remote and other areas where access to energy in limited. NREP is looking for a Renewable Energy Challenge Fund Manager.
Position: Fund Manager
The Fund Manager is a key position within the NREP team and demands a highly motivated expert with the strategic skills required lo work alongside Central Renewable Energy Fund (CREF), Government of Nepal and development partners lo establish the RECF and grow it substantially.
Qualification and experiences:
■ At least a Master’s Degree in management preferably in Finance
■ At least 10 years work experience in finance/in vestment
■ Demonstrated experience in international development partner (bi-lateral partners and/or development finance institutions) challenge fund or similar private sector fund management.
■ Experience working in developing/emerging markets especially identification of solutions within local context
■ Knowledge on Renewable Energy’ Financing is a plus
■ Experience in designing and implementing challenge fund modalities is an added advantage.
This position offers attractive packages with other facilities as per Nepal Labour law and the position is based in Kathmandu with frequent travel to the programme provinces
