Senior Lab Technicians For Road Construction
The UNNATI programme is operating in seven hill districts in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal (Taplejung, Panchthar, llam, Sankhuwasabha, Terhathum, Bhojpur and Dhankuta). The programme, supported by the Danish Government, aims to develop selected agricultural commodity value chains using a market based inclusive growth approach complemented with district and farm to market road construction, access to finance and an improved agricultural/agribusiness policy environment. The infrastructure part of the programme is implemented by DoLIDAR through the District Technical Offices.
The UNNATI programme is looking for
Senior Lab Technicians
The senior lab technicians will work with one of the DTOs and wil carry out material and quality tests in relation to road construction.
The qualifications of the position include:
- 10+2 pass certificate or an intermediate degree in civil engineering with at least 2 years of experience in material testing laboratory in road projects or 10 class pass with a least 3 years of experience in material testing laboratory in road projects.
- S/he should have good knowledge to use a computer and maintain lab records properly.
- Reasoning and good interpersonal skills.
- Courtesy and customer orientation.
- Able to work and contribute positively in team
- Sensitive to gender and social inclusion
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
The experienced Senior Lab Technician will be based in one of the programme districts. The contracts will be initially for 12 months with possibility of extension.
