United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is the UN’s capital investment agency for the world’s 47 least developed countries. UNCDF provides seed capital, grants and loans, and technical support to help financial service providers, reach poor households and small businesses through inclusive finance and local government financing.

In Nepal, UNCDF has signed an agreement with the Government of Denmark and implements an Access to Finance (A2F) component of UNNAT1 Programme. UNNATI-A2F is implemented through National Implementation Modality (NIM) with the Microfinance Promotion and Supervision Department of the Nepal Rastra Bank as the implementing partner.

Access to Finance (A2F) is seeking qualified, talented and results oriented Nepalese citizens for the following position;

Post Title: Value Chain Finance Officer          Duration: Till Dec 2018

No. of positions: One  Contract type and level: SB 4 Peg 1

Duty Station: Any one duty station among , Ham, Panchthar, Terhathum, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Taplejung or Dharan,sankhuwasabha with frequent travel to other districts

Job responsibilities: Value Chain Finance Officer will report to the Team Leader/Project Management and will be responsible for day-to-day works and field related project activities, achievement and reporting with respect to working with financial and other project partners. S/he will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong partnership with regional and local level banks and financial institutions, partner institutions, ensures active participation and representation at different levels of the project.

Qualifications and experiences required: Completion of Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Rural Development or related field; 3 years of experience for Master’s degree and 7 years of experience for Bachelor’s degree at a bank or financial institution, preferably bank. Knowledge of agriculture value chain finance or agriculture/rural finance or SME banking. Knowledge of banking and insurance products and services.
