Road Term Maintenance Pilot Project (Piece-Work)

1 The Government of Nepal has received a grant aid from UFID/UK towards the cost of Rural Access Programme Phase 3 {RAP3) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover legible payments under the Contracts for the Maintenance of District Road Core Network as mentioned below Packages 1 and 2. Rural Access Programme – Phase 3 invites sealed bids from eligible registered Nepalese contractors.

  1. Interested legible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from Rur8l Access Programme District Technical Assistance Office, Dadeldhura for Package 1 and Dailekh for Package 2 or Rural Access Programme, Technical end Management Office, Jawalakhel. lalitpur

  1. Hard copy of bidding documents may be obtained free of cost from Rural Access Programme District Technical Assistance Office, Daduldhura for Package 1, Dailekh for Package 2 or Rural Access Programme, Technical and Management Office. Jawalakhel. lailtpur by eligible Bidders upon submission of an application in the company’s letterhead defray showing Bidder’s complete name and address during the office hours until 16 July 2017 OR Bidder can dr/Graffito bidding documents from RAP website rapnepal.com up to the same specified time period.
  2. Following documents must be compulsorily submitted along with the Bid. Failure to submit these documents shall lead to nonprofessional of the bid.

  5. A written declaration made by the bidder with a statement that he/she is not ineligible to participate in the procurement proceedings; has no conflict of interest in the proposed procurement proceedings, and has not been punished for a profession or business related offense.

5 Any bid submission that does not include fully completed financial forms, including an the Bill of Quantity unit rates and total, or Mi to fully complete and sign the letter of Bid, including entering the total price of Bid. shall be determined as non-res pensive and when be rejected.   1. Bids must be delivered to the Rural Access Programme, District Technical Assistance Office, Dadeldhura |RAP3, Daduldhura) for Package 1, Dailekh RAP3, Dailekh) for Package 2 and RAP3, Technical Management Office (RAP3, TMO), lalitpur for both Packages on or before 12:00 hrs, 17 July 2017. All will be opener immediately after the bid submissions deadline i.e. on 17 July 2017 at 14:00 hrs. in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at RAP3, Daduldhura and RAP3, TMO for Packages and on 17 July 2017 at 15:00 hrs RAP3, Dailekh and RAP3. TMO for Package 2.
  2. All bids shall be accompanied by a valid bid security & an amount as shown in the below table in local currency. The b<l security guarantee shall conform to the standard format as specified in the bid document The bid security guarantee issued by one the commercial bank approved by Nepal Rastra Bank shall be accepted by the employer
  3. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after the deadens for bid submission date Bid security shall remain valid up to 120 days that is up to and including 14 November 2017.
  4. All Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend pre-bid Meeting. Pre-bid meetings will be held at RAP DTA Office, Dadeldhura and RAP DTA Office, Dailekh on [to b« notified In Press and/or RAP3 website). The purpose of meeting rt to clarify any issue regarding the bid documents and to demonstrate the process of bid submission and opening of bids. A briefing pack is also included as part of the Bidding Document.
  5. The Rural Access Programme – Phase 3 reserves right to accept or reject any or all bids or annul the bidding process and reject all bids without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
  6. If the specified date for pre-bid meeting, last date of bidding document collection and submission/ opening falls on the RAP’s holiday then the same time on the next working day shall be considered for cosh events. In such case the validity of bid security shall be considered from already specified last date for bid submission.
  7. Any intimidation, collusion and car telling during bidding process shall be punishable by law
