The World Bank Nepal Office in Kathmandu is seeking highly qualified and experienced candidate as Short Term Consultants (STC) for the Bank team in the urban and federalism program in Nepal.
This is country office based position in Nepal subject to local recruitment under “WBG Net Short Term Fee Schedule, Nepal, Fiscal Year 2018”. - Consultancy Sen ice for Urban Governance (Selection# 1252543): Minimum Master’s Level education. 8-10 years of relevant work experience, including sound knowledge and prior experience in urban development, local governance and finance, political economy and institutional assessment associated with the processes of decentralization and federalism in Nepal. International exposure in the areas of urban governance, fiscal decentralization, local government functioning and capacity building in similar developing country contexts would be preferred. Technical exposure in the area of local level planning and project implementation will be an added advantage. The consultant should have prior experience of working with multi-lateral and bi-lateral funding agencies with an ability to engage and provide just-in-time support to the government on key policy and implementation aspects of decentralization and federalism as required.
