                                     Expression of Interest

  • The Government of Nepal (GoN) is in negotiation process to receive financial support from the World Bank to meet the costs of the Enhanced Vocational Education and Training Project-Second (EVENT-II), of which it intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.
  • The services include provision of results-based short-term vocational training and job placement to 12.000 poor youths, youths from disadvantaged communities and remote regions across Nepal.
  • The implementation of this Expression of Interest (Eol)is subject to availability of fund from the World Bank.
  • This Eol is open to all Training and Employment Service Providers (TESPs) registered as per Company Act of Nepal.
  • Interested TESPs who meet the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned in the TOR and have the capability to work under a post financing results-based payment system can submit KOI.
  • The trades/occupations identified for training should be based on Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA) and need to confirm to the minimum standards outlined in the CTEVT approved curriculum and National Occupational Skill Standards (NOSS) of the National Skills Testing Board (NS IB).
  • The guidelines for submitting Eoland other relevant matters are included in the Terms of Reference (ToRs) which is available at EVENT II Project Secretariat, Buddhanagar. Kathmandu or at the EVENT website – event.gov.np.
  • The attention of interested consultants is drawn to point number 3.14 of Section III (Governance)of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers. setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
  • The Consulting firm will be recruited by the Project in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines on the use of Consultants using Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) procedures.
  • The Eol can be submitted either online on https://bolpatra.gov.npor in a written form (hardcopy) to the address below by 2074-06-14 (30 September 2017) within office hours. If the last date of submission of the EOI happens to be a public holiday, the next working day will be the last date for submission.
