“Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Smart Street Lights at Lalitpur”

1. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) invites sealed bids from registered eligible and qualified bidders under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the purpose of Supply. Delivery. Installation. Testing and Commissioning of Smart Street Lights at Lalitpur as per the required scope of services mentioned.
2. Interested Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the office of NEA mentioned below during office hours. Complete bidding documents are also posted on the NEA website nea.org.np.
3. Complete set of Bidding Document in English may be purchased from the office address mentioned below during office hours on all working days by eligible bidders 30 July, 2018 onwards on the submission of a written application to the address mentioned above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs. 3,000.00 (In words, Nepalese Rupees Three Thousand only)or an equivalent amount in US Dollars by bank voucher to the NEA’s Current Account “NEA Central Payment Division”, Account No. 0010002287300001 at Kumari Bank Ltd, Putalisadak, Kathmandu. The document will be handed over to the bidder upon production of evidence of payment of the fee. The Bid document shall be available for sale up to office hours till 12 September. 2018.
4. A pre-bid meeting shall be held at the office address mentioned below at 11.00 A.M. on 29 August. 2018. to clarify to the bidders the exact scope of the work.
5. Sealed bids must be submitted to the office address mentioned below on or before 12:00 Noon on 13 September, 2018. Bids received after this deadline will not be accepted.
6. Received Sealed Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 P.M. on 13 September, 2018 at the office address mentioned below. But nothing shall bar the opening of Tender by the reason only that any bidder or its agent is not present. Bidder’s representative should bear the authorization letter duly signed by the authority of firm at the time of bid opening.
7. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days counting from the date of bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security (Bank Guarantee or Cash Deposited into Bank) amounting to minimum NRs. 450.000.00 (In Words: Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Rupees Only), which shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period (i.e., Valid up to minimum 11 January. 2019).
8. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government/public holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
9. NEA shall not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with preparation or submission of Bids.
10. NEA reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
