Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC), Head Office, Tripureshwor. Kathmandu invites sealed bids for the Supply & Delivery of Ductile Iron Pipe & Fittings for NWSC Branch Office, Butwal from eligible registered Manufacturer’s or Suppliers having qualification as mentioned in the bidding document under National Competitive Bidding.

  1. According to Public Procurement Regulation, 2064, Rule 25(3) – If Bidders are not manufacturer of Ductile Iron Pipe & Fittings, they must submit with the bid, “sole supply authorization original letter’’ from manufacture in the name of Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Head Office, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu.
  2. Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at Nepal Water Supply Corporation Head Office (NWSC), Tripureshwor Tel. No: 01-4263623/ Fax. 01-4255516.
  3. A complete set of Bidding documents may be purchased from the NWSC. Head Office, Tripureshwor or NWSC Branch Office, Butwal on submission of a written application, attested copies of registration firm, VAT registration certificate, and Tax clearance certificate of FY 2072/2073 and upon payment of nonrefundable fee Rs. 10,000.00 (Rs. Ten Thousands only) within office hours up to August 15, 2017 (2074/04/31 B.S) or may download the bid document from the website by depositing the amount in the following account within the date and time specified above. If so requested, the Bidding Documents can also be sent by courier services/post upon payment of additional cost of NRs. 3,000.00 (Three Thousand Nepalese Rupees). However, the Purchaser will not be responsible for delay or non-delivery of the documents so sent. Interested bidders may visit e-GP portal of PPMO web site http://www.bolpatra.gov.np.
  4. For the purpose of Bidders who choose to submit their bid electronically through website http://www.bolpatra.gov.np, the bidders may down load the necessary parts of the bidding documents, prepare their bid and submit their electronic bids as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. In ease the Bidder chooses to download and submit bid electronically, the Bidder shall be required to deposit the nonrefundable fee (as specific above) of bidding document in the account as specified below and the scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall be uploaded by the bidder at the time of electronic submission of the bids:

  1. A Pre-bid meeting will take place on August 6, 2017 (2074/04/22 B.S.) at Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Head Office, Tripureshwor at 13: 00 hours if that day falls on a Government holiday then the meeting will be held on next working day.
  2. Bids must be submitted in Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Head Office Tripureshwor on or before 12:00 hours, August 16, 2017 (2074/04/32 B.S.). Bids shall be scaled in an envelope addressing to procurement officer NWSC Head Office Tripureshwor indicating name of contract, Identification number, bidders name and address. Bids received after this deadline shall not be accepted.
  3. Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 13:00 hours, on August 16, 2017 (2074/04/32 B.S.). at NWSC Head Office, Tripureshwor Kathmandu. Bids must be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to NRs.55,00,000.00, which shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period (i.e. January 12,2018).
  4. If the last date of bid purchasing, submission and opening falls on government holiday then the next working day shall be considered as the last day.
  5. In case of discrepancies or error in bidding document, tender notice or any other documents the NWSC reserves the right to amend and correct at any time.
  6. NWSC reserves the right to acccpt or reject wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  7. Matters not covered by this notice shall be in accordance with public procurement Act 2063 and public procurement Regulation 2064 and other prevailing rules and regulations.
