Invitation for Bids

Date of First Notice Publication: 16th August 2017

The TCN invites sealed bids from registered eligible and qualified Suppliers/Bidders under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) for the procurement of following Equipment and Vehicle per the required specifications mentioned in the bid document. Bidding is open to all eligible and qualified Bidders/Suppliers.

• Interested Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document in English at the office of TCN Babarmahal. Kathmandu. Nepal.
• Complete set of Bidding Document of each contract (Hard Copy) in English may be purchased from the office of TCN, Babarmahal, Kathmandu. Nepal during office hours on all working days by eligible bidders 16th August 2017 onwards on the submission of a Written Application, copies of Company/Firm Registration, Letter of Authority from the Principal/ Manufacturer and PAN/VAT Registration certificates and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 3,000.00 for each task. The bid document shall be available for sale upto office hours till 14th September 2017.
• Scaled bids must be submitted to the office of TCN, Babarmahal. Kathmandu, Nepal by hand/courier on or before 00 Noon on 15th September 2017. Documents received after this deadline shall not be accepted.
• Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days, counting from the day of bid submission deadline and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to minimum as mentioned above table, which shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period.
• If bidder wishes to submit the Bid Security in the form of cash, the cash should be deposited in TCN’s Bank Account Number: 001006001676687000001 (Call Account), NMB Bank Ltd., Babarmahal Branch and submit the original receipt of the deposited amount of cash along with the sealed Bid.
• Received Sealed Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at as mentioned above table at the office of TCN, Babarmahal, Kathmandu, Nepal. But nothing shall bar the opening of Tender by the reason only that any bidder or its agent is not present. Bidder’s representative should come with authorization duly signed by the authority of firm at the time of bid opening.
• If the last date of purchasing and/or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
• TCN reserves the right to acccpt or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
• Those owners whose firm or company was blacklisted earlier with the provisions of Public Procurement Act, 2007 and if they have commenced New Business in the name of new firm or company arc not allowed to participate in the Bid Proceedings.
