Consulting services for Updating Capital Investment and Asset Management Plan (CIAMP)

  • The Government of Nepal (GON) has received a loan from Asian development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project (Additional Financing) (KVWSIP-AF). The proposed Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project (Additional Financing) (Project) will support the ongoing efforts of the Government of Nepal (the government) towards improving the water supply service in Kathmandu Valley. The Project will invest in development of Bulk Distribution System. Distribution Network Improvement. Service Reservoirs. Rehabilitation and Improvement of Treatment Facilities. The resultant synergy of the proposed project is expected to lead to increased efficiencies, greater improvement in service delivery’ and higher impact on health & hygiene outcomes: and quality of life of people living in Kathmandu Valley. The Government of Nepal and Asian Development Bank have agieed to utilize a part of the loan proceeds for the project related activities. Further a part of the proposed loan proceeds will be used to finance procurement of consulting services for updating Capital Investment and Asset Management Plan (CLAMP01) to prepare Integrated Water Supply and Wastewater Master Plan for the whole of Kathmandu Valley.
  • The Executive Director on behalf of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board (KVWSMB) invites Expression of Interest from eligible International Consultant firms based on QCBS criteria as per “the guidelines on the use of consultant and its borrower “ for preparation of capital investment and asset management plan to the integrated Water Supply and Wastewater sector for the whole of Kathmandu Valley to support KVWSMB for the tentative input of 54 person-month for International and 92 person-month for National of the key position having appropriate, management, technical and geographical competence:
  • The Consultants must furnish list of similar projects executed in past ten years with summary of such projects and important financial details. The EOI is required to be submitted cither through (preferred) online ADB s CSRN CMS or in hard copies in the standard formats stipulated for this purpose. The EOI notice, draft Terms of Reference (TORs). format for submission and other details can be downloaded from ADB website http: . csrn.adb.org ( click on “Nepal” find captioned project, click on “view” and download “TOR document”) or KVWSMB website http://www.kvwsmb.org.np. These details and any further information can also be obtained from the Katlunandu Valley Water Supply Management Board (KVWSMB).
  • The Katlunandu Valley Water Supply Management Board (KVWSMB) plans to engage the above consulting firm to take care of all aspects of the project, including to assist the Executive Director (ED) in overall support for preparing and updating Capital Investment and Asset Management Plan of Integrated Water Supply and Wastewater system in Kathmandu Valley. The Consulting firm will report to and work under the overall guidance of the KVWSMB and is expected to commence the services by end of March 2018. QCBS Selection criteria will be based on the provisions of Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by ADB and its Borrowers (2013. as amended from time to time).
  • The Expressions of Interest. (EOr) (one original & one duplicate) shall be submitted by 17:00 hours Nepal Standard Time of 6 October. 2017 to the address below or through CMS (online) by 23:59 (Manila time) of 6 September. 2017.
  • Further, clarification can be obtained from the below address between 10:00 to 17:00 hrs on or before 15 September.2017 on working days (except public holidays) and responses to the clarifications sought will be provided by 20 September. 2017.
