The Government of Nepal has allocated funds towards the cost of Medium Irrigation Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contracts as specified in the table below. Bidding is open to all eligible Nepalese bidders.

Irrigation Development Division (IDD), Kapilvastu invites sealed bids or electronic bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Headworks, Canal and Canal Structures of Lamtiya Irrigation Project, Kapilvastu Municipality-6, Kapilvastu and Dohani Irrigation Project, Dohani, Kapilvastu under National Competitive Bidding-Two Envelope Bidding procedures.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the following office by eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/firm registration certificate, tax clearance upto Fy 2072/2073 and upon payment of a non-refundable as mention in “Contract Description Table” till 08th May 2017.

Bidder who chooses to submit their bid electronically may purchase the hard copy of the bidding documents as mentioned above or may down load the bidding documents fore-submission from PPMO’s Web Site www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp. Bidders, submitting their bid electronically, should deposit the cost of bidding document in the Project’s Rajaswa (revenue) account as specified below and the scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall be uploaded by the bidder at the time of electronic submission of the bids.

  1. Pre-bid meeting shall be held at Irrigation Development Division, Taulihawa, Kapilvastu at 1:00pm on 23rdApril, 2017
  2. Any bidder may submit the bid either singly or as a partner in Joint Venture (J/V) provided that each J/V partner has purchased the bid documents separately. However, a single bid document may be purchased by a joint venture of firms by submitting a J/V agreement along with the documents mentioned above in clause 4 for each of the partner firms.
  3. Sealed or electronic bids must be submitted to the office Irrigation Development Division, Taulihawa, Kapilvastu by hand or through PPMO website bolpatra.gov.np/egp. on or before 12:00 Noon on 9th May 2017. Bid received after this deadline will be rejected.
  4. The bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 pm on 9th May 2017 at the office of Irrigation Development Division, Taulihawa, Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security or scanned copy of the bid security in pdf format in case of e-bid. amounting to a minimum as mentioned in ” Contract Descriptions Table”, which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the validity period of the bid (i.e. 29th August, 2017)
  5. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
  6. Bidders are advised to visit site and assess the actual site conditions before submitting their bid.
  7. The Employers reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all of the bids without assigning any reason, whatever.
  8. Technical Bid and Financial (Price) Bid should be submitted in two separate envelopes enclosed together in an outer single envelope. If the Technical Bid and Financial Bid are submitted together in one inner envelope. Bid will be rejected.
  9. Other mandatory information as per PPA and PPR.
