REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (Eol) from Consulting Firms or Consultants for Development of

Knowledge Products for HVAP

Date of first publication: 30 Aug, 2017 Government of Nepal has received grant and loan assistance from International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of High Value Agriculture Project in Hill and Mountain Areas (HVAP). The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD) in partnership with SNV (Netherlands Development Organization) and Agro-Enterprise Centre (AEC) of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). The project is in implementation through the fiscal year 2010/11 and the duration of project is seven and half years.

The Project is a market led initiative that seeks to provide income and employment benefits to poor small holder farmers, landless and agribusinesses through development and upgrading of inclusive value chains in the Mid and Far Western Region of the country. Following an Inclusive Business (IB) approach, the project focuses on facilitating mutually beneficial and profitable marketing arrangements between the suppliers and buyers of High Value Commodity (HVC) value chains and inclusion of excluded groups. The project is being implemented in Dailekh, Jajarkot, Jumla, Kalikot, Salyan, Surkhet, and Achham districts served by three road corridors: Chhinchu-Jajarkot, Surkhet-Dailekh and Surkhet-Jumla.

The HVAP now invites Expression of Interests (Eols) from the registered consulting firms or consultants for the following works :

The Terms of Reference (ToR) may be obtained from the address given below or can be downloaded from HVAP website (www.hvap.gov.np). The sealed Eol must be submitted to the address given below on any working day on or before 17:00 hrs of the 16^th day from the date of first date of publication of this notice, with clearly written EOI Notice No. and consulting work in the envelope. The eligible criteria for the EOI are submission of the copy of (i) VAT certificate, (ii) Latest tax clearance certificate, (iii) timely renewal of the firm with registration certificate, and (iv) Audit report of last two years. The Eol will be evaluated based on the criteria mentioned in the ToR. Only the qualified firms/consultants will be invited for the full proposals.

HVAP reserves the rights regarding selection and contracting of the firm. Other provisions will be according to the prevailing rules and regulations of the Government of Nepal.
