KIOCH, founded in 2017, is a registered not-for-profit organization building a multi-specialty children’s hospital for cardiology, oncology and mental health, working towards constructing a comprehensive paediatric care facility in Nepal. Based on a hub and spoke model, the headquarter will be based in the Budhanilkantha Municipality Kathmandu, with six satellite units to be established in rural provinces in the future. Through these efforts, we aim to provide access to healthcare for thousands of Nepali children. We envision a Nepal where all children have access to health care of the highest standard in the field of cardiology, oncology and mental health, from village level health posts to regional hospitals, to a central hospital in Kathmandu. Each facility has excellent doctors and well trained nurses providing the best care and education on hygiene, immunization and nutritious diets working closely with partners in different sectors, such as the Government, NGOs, the private sector, knowledge centers and other medical institutions in and outside of Nepal to ultimately deliver comprehensive healthcare for all children.
