1. The Government of Nepal (GoN) lias allocated funds towards the cost of Koshi Corridor 220 kV Transmission Line Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Construction of Staff Quarter. Access Road and Diversion Road at Basantapur Substation. Sankhuwasabha. Contract Identification No: KOSHICW/BP/73/74-1.

Bidding is open to all eligible Nepalese Bidders.

2. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Koshi Corridor 220 kV Transmission Line Project invites sealed bids or electronic bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Staff Quarter. Access Road and Diversion Road at Basantapur Substation. Sankhuwasabha under National Competitive Bidding – Two Envelope Bidding procedures.

Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover for the last 3 years: NRs 45 Million Minimum Work experience of similar size and nature:at least two(2) Contracts of Civil Construction works within the last ten (10) years, each with a value of at least 36 (Thirty Six) Million NRS without VAT

3. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office mentioned below in clause 10 or may visit PPMO website www.bolpatra.gov.np.

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the office mentioned below in clause 10 on the submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/firm registration certificate, and upon payment of a non-re fundable fee of NRs. 5.000.00 (in Word Five Thousand Rupees only)till April 20,2017 . If so requested, the Bidding Documents can also be sent by post/courier services upon payment of additional cost of NRs. 5000.00. However, the Employer will not be responsible for delay or non-delivery of the documents so sent.

Bidder who chooses to submit their bid electronically may purchase the hard copy of the bidding documents as mentioned above or may download the bidding documents for e-submission from PPMO’s Web Site www.bolpatra.gov.np. Bidders, submitting their bid electronically, should deposit the cost(as specified above) of bidding document in the Project’s current account as specified below and the scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall be uploaded by the bidder at the time of electronic submission of the bids.

5. Sealed or electronic bids must be submined to the office of Koshi Corridor 220 kV Transmission Line Project, Kharipati. Bhaktapur by hand/courier or through PPMO website www.bolpatra.gov.no on or before 12:00 Hrs (NST). April 21,2017. Bids received after this deadline will be rejected.

6. The bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:00 Hrs (NST), April 21. 2017 at the office of Koshi Corridor 220 kV Transmission Line Project. Kharipati. Bhaktapur . Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security or scanned copy of the bid security in pdf format in case of e-bid, amounting to a minimum of 13,30,000.00 (In words Thirteen Lakh Thirty Thousand Rupees Only), which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the validity period of the bid i.e. August 19, 2017.

7. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.

8. The bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its bid. and NEA will in no case be responsible or liable for these costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the bidding process.

9. The employer reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning reason, whatsoever.
