Invitation for Bids for procurement of Fabricated Steel Parts for Short Span Trail Bridges (SSTB)

  1. The Government of Nepal (GoN) has allocated funds to DTO for Trail Bridge Program and the DTO intends to apply the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for supply of fabricated steel parts for different Short Span Trail Bridges (SSTB). Bid is open to all enlisted by DoLIDAR eligible Nepalese Bidders.
  2. The DTO, Terhathum invites sealed bids from registered fabricators for supply of fabricated steel parts for following Short Span Trail Bridges. Detailed Evaluation and Qualification Criteria are provided in Section III of the Bid Documents.
  3. The Bidders/Fabricators with experience of successfully completing fabrication and supply of steel parts for minimum five trail bridges within last five years and enlisted by DoLIDAR arc eligible for bidding. New fabricators may apply in joint venture with an eligible firm having the required experience. However, bids of such fabricators shall be considered responsive only in case fabricators fulfill the requirements.
  4. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the office of DTO Terhathum, 026-460303 or may visit PPMO website WWW.BOLPATRA.GOV.NP./egp
  5. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Office of District Technical Office, Terhathum by eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application, along with the Certified copy of company/firm registration certificate, VAT Reg. Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate up to F.Y. 073/74. and upon payment of a.

Bidder who chooses to submit their bid electronically may purchase the hard copy of the bidding documents as mentioned above or may download the bidding documents for e-submission from PPMO’s Web Site www.bolpatra.gov.np. Bidders, submitting their bid electronically, should deposit the cost (as specified above) of bidding document in the Project’s Rajaswa (revenue) account non-refundable fee of Nrs. 3000.00 till 23-Feb-2018 as specified below and the scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall be uploaded by the bidder at the time of electronic submission of the bids.   1. Bids must be submitted to the office of DTO Terhathum, Myanglung , on or before 12:00 noon on 23-Feb- 2018 Documents received after this deadline shall not be accepted.
  2. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on After 12:00 noon on 23-Feb-2018 at the office of DTO Terhathum Myaglung. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security from valid Bank in the prescribed format, amounting to a minimum of Nrs 1,25,000.00, which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the bid validity period i.e 23th May 2018.
  3. If bidder wishes to submit the Bid Security in the form of cash, bidder has to deposit cash in Deposit and submit bank deposit voucher along with the bid.

  1. If the last date of purchasing and /or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
  2. Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held at the office of Terhathum DTO, Myaglung on 13th Feb 2018.
  3. Information or data submitted by the bidder which is either incomplete or unclear or not substantiated by supporting documents shall not be considered for evaluation.
  4. Bidder must submit Letter of Bid with bid documents. If it is not submitted bid shall be treated non-responsive.
  5. E-biddcrs arc also informed to modify, withdrawal or modification only through e-bidding not by the hard copy.
  6. The Employer reserves the right to acccpt or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
