Date of publication: December 29,2017

Government of Nepal has received a loan/credit/grant from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) towards the cost of Emergency School Reconstruction Project (ESRP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Fabrication, Supply and Installation of School Furniture as mentioned below. Bidding is open to all eligible Bidders from all countries as defined in JICA Procurement Guideline.

The Central Project Implementation Unit (CPIU), Ministry of Education (MOE) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of Fabrication, Supply and Installation of School Furniture as mentioned in Bill of Quantities (BOQ), under National Competitive Bidding procedures.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of CLPIU, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu (Phone +977-1-4420106) and may visit the e-procurement PPMO’s Web Site www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp.

Bidder shall down load the bidding documents for e-submission from PPMO’s Web Site www.bolpatra.gov.npyegp. Bidders, submitting their bid electronically, should deposit the cost (as specified above) of bidding document in the Project’s Rajaswa (revenue) account as specified below and the scanned copy (pdf format) of the Bank deposit voucher shall be uploaded by the bidder at the time of electronic submission of the bids.

A pre-bid meeting shall be held at CPIU/MOE, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu at 11:00 hours on January 19, 2017.

  1. Bids must be submitted through PPMO website b0lpatra.90v.np/e9p on or before 12:00 hours on January 29, 2017. Bids received after this deadline will be rejected.
  2. Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders’representatives who choose to attend 13:00 hours on January 29,2017 at the office of CLPIU, MOE, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu. Bids must be valid fora period of 90 days counting from the day of bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to a minimum mentioned as above, which shall be valid for minimum 30 days beyond the bid validity period.
  • If the last date of purchasing, submission and opening falls on a government holiday then the next working day shall be considered the last day. In such a case the bid validity and bid security validity shall be recognized with effect from the original bid submission deadline.
  1. Under this Procedure after the completion of evaluation of Technical Bid, all the technically substantially responsive bidders will be invited to attend the opening of Price Bid. The time, date and place of opening of Price Bid shall be notified in writing and/or publishing notice.
  2. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning reason, whatsoever.
  3. Any conditions so far not covered shall be as per Public Procurement Act-2063 and Public Procurement Regulations-2064 with latest amendment.
