Re-Invitation for Bids
For “Construction of Wood Seasoning and Treatment Sheds and Units”
Date of First Notice Publication: 8 May 2017 Date of Re-Notice Publication: 9 June 2017 (Contract Identification Number: TCN/W/NCB/2073/74-01)

1. The TCN invites sealed bids from registered eligible Bidders under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) for the “Construction of Wood Seasoning and Treatment Sheds and L’nits”. Bidding is open to all eligible national bidders.

2. Interested Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document in English at the office of TCN Babarmahal. Kathmandu and Branch Office. Bharatpur, Chitwan. Nepal.

3. The estimated budget (amount) for the total works is NRs. 1.43 15.633.08 (Excluding VAT).

4. Complete set of Bidding Document in English may be purchased from the office of TCN, Babarmahal and TCN Branch Office Bharatpur. Chitwan Nepal during office hours on all working days by eligible bidders 9 June 2017 onward on the submission of a Written Application, copies of Company Firm Registration and PAN/VAT Registration certificates and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs. 3,000.00. The Bid document shall be available for sale up to office hours till 25 June 2017.

5. Pre-bid meeting shall be held at TCN. Babarmahal. Kathmandu, Nepal at 11.00 A.M. on 15 June 2017.

6. Sealed bids must be submitted to the office of TCN. Babarmahal, Katlunaudu. Nepal by hand/courier on or before 12.00 Noon on 26 June 2017. Documents received after this deadline shall not be accepted.

7. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days, counting from the day of bid submission deadline and must be accompanied by bid security, amounting to minimum of NRs. 350.000.00 (In Words: Three Hundred Thousand Only), which shall be valid for 30 days beyond the bid validity period (i.e. Valid up to 23 October 2017).

8. If bidder wishes to submit the Bid Security in the form of cash, the cash should be deposited in TCN’s Bank Account Number: 001006001676687000001 (Call Account). NMB Bank Ltd.. Babarmahal Branch and submit the original receipt of the deposited amount of cash along with the sealed Bid.

9. Received Sealed Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.30 P.M. on 26 June 2017 at the office of of TCN. Babarmahal. Kathmandu. Nepal. But nothing shall bar the opening of Tender by the reason only that any bidder or its agent is not present. Bidder’s representative should come with authorization duly signed by the authority of firm at the time of bid opening.

10. If the last date of purchasing and/or submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day alias be considered as the last date, hi such case the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.

11. Bidders are advised to visit site and assess the Malachi site conditions before submitting their bid. TCN shall not be responsible for any costs or expenses inclined by bidders in connection with preparation or submission of Bids.

12. TCN reserves the right to accept or reject, wholly or partly any or all the bids without assigning any reason, whatsoever.

13. Those owners whose firm or company was blacklisted earlier with the provisions of Public Procurement Act. 2007 and if they have commenced New Business in the name of new firm or company are not allowed to participate in the Bid Proceedings.
