Notice for the Request for Expression of Interest (REOI)

• The Government of Nepal (GoN)/ National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has received development credit to implement the Earthquake Housing Reconstruction Project (EHRP) from the International Development Association (IDA Credit No. 5706-NP). A part of this credit is to be used for consulting services for hiring individual Consultant as mentioned below:

12. The interested candidates shall have following minimum qualifications to be eligible for DSE:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 (five) years of work experience

OR

Master’s Degree in Earthquake Engineering or Structural Engineering or Nontechnical Engineering with at least 2 (two) years of work experience.

13. Candidates having experience in building design or supervision will be preferred.
14. This EOI notice has also been uploaded on the website nra.gov.np. The interested candidates may visit the website: www.nra.gov.np. for the Terms of References (ToR); which can also be obtained from PMU/NRA during office hours.
15. The interested candidates may express their interest by submitting their application with latest updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) duly signed. The hardcopy of CV must be submitted in a sealed envelope at PMU office. NRA, Singhadurbar. Kathmandu on or before May 25, 2018 within office hours.
16. If the last date of submission of the EOI falls on a public holiday, the next working day will be the last submission date.
17. The selection of the consultants shall be according to the World Bank Procurement Guidelines for SELECTION AND EMPLOYMENT OF CONSULTANTS Under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants BY WORLD BANK BORROWERS of January, 2011(Revised July 2014). Individual Consultant Selection Method, as set in the World Bank’s Consultants Selection Guidelines/ Section V/5.2 &3.
18. The Consultants shall be selected with the basis of following selection criteria:

19. The consultants will be posted and shall work in any of the 32 Earthquake affected districts.
20. Any form of canvassing, soliciting or influencing will be treated as disqualification.
